A small wireless remote button (STYRBAR) paired with a smart plug, both from IKEA's budget smart home range. Mount the remote on the wall near the lamp or outlet it controls, plug the lamp into the smart plug, and you have a physical on and off switch again. Works standalone or with IKEA's DIRIGERA hub for more automation later, but does not require the hub for basic on and off control.
